In the history of Ukrainian medicine, there are journals that have become not just media to distribute publications, but true chronicles of particular fields of science. This is what the Ophthalmological Journal was and remains for Ukrainian ophthalmology. The journal was founded by Acad. V.P. Filatov as early as 1946, and has been shaping the face of Ukrainian ophthalmology for decades. Today we celebrate a significant milestone, the 80th anniversary of the journal.
