Article processing charges

To ensure free access for readers and to cover publication costs, authors (or their institutions or research foundations) pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC).

The fee for processing a single article formatted in accordance with the journal’s requirements is 8,000 UAH.

Upon request, authors are offered services for text editing, reference list formatting, and illustration editing. The cost is negotiated individually, depending on the volume and complexity.

The APC for a single article formatted in accordance with the journal’s requirements is 8,000 UAH. With the support of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists, the APC for Ukrainian citizens has been reduced in 2026 and is 3,000 UAH + VAT. Publication is free for members of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists (the first author must be a member of the USO).

Payment can be made in any way convenient for you: by bank transfer or via electronic money transfer systems (such as “Portmone”).

Payment details are sent to authors after the review process is completed, and the editorial board makes a final decision on the manuscript’s suitability for publication. Authors must pay the APC within 5 calendar days.

In the event of late payment, the manuscript may be withdrawn from publication. Once payment is made, the article may be accepted for publication in the current or subsequent issues of the journal.
